In 2021, I joined the marketing and design team at the Canadian marketing agency
RW Digital as an in-house Graphic Designer. For over three years, I've been developing engaging multimedia content for the agency’s social media platforms, enhancing brand growth strategies via analytics and impactful design, and launching responsive, brand-adherent websites for clients. Collaborating alongside the agency principal,
I play a key role in the agency's growth.
Social Media Marketing
Prior to joining the agency, RW Digital already had a partially-established brand identity; after doing an assessment with the agency principal, we noted that application of the identity was inconsistent and noted areas for improvement. Given the agency's main channels of communication are through its website and social media, we devised a goal to both improve the brand identity and make better use of social platforms to extends its reach.
THE PROBLEM:
RW Digital's analytics showed decent engagement via its website and a positive reputation through previous client work, however the agency's online presence and brand identity needed strengthening.
After making adjustments to the agency brand guidelines, we monitored changes in engagement and interaction through analytics to determine whether our new strategies had a stronger impact on target audiences. One of the key deliverables within this plan was a rehaul of the agency's social media marketing; I was tasked with designing graphics for the agency's channels using the new guidelines. Agency Website
In early 2024, I was tasked with re-designing and refreshing the agency's website, drafting up a new design based on existing layouts and updating content collections. The primary goal was to apply the new branding guidelines to the website, connecting it with the visual style of the graphics being posted on social media. I approached the project through a user-first perspective, ensuring website content was scalable for responsiveness and adherent to accessibility standards.
Digital marketing can be complicated for those who aren't familiar with it. To solve this, I focused on implementing terminology and language for content that involved easy-to-understand and simple explanations, while simultaneously demonstrating a level of professionalism and knowledge that distinguishes RW Digital as a credible agency.
